Am ready to die

Nairobi residences today were shocked with phenomenal event that occurred along Kimathi Street. A man by the name Dedan Kimathi Wachiuri tied himself on the peak of the late freedom fighter monument, agitating for justice from the government. He was accompanied by his relatives who were unable to disclose what was going on.
According to his aunt Wamosi, wachiuri was fighting for justice to veterans. “He is not insane. My nephew is fighting for something that is rightfully his. Why can’t the government treat us fairly?” she argued. Though she could not clearly clarifies what she meant but the predicament received a huge applaud from the crowd.
On his side the agitators never talked nor disclose anything to either media or police in control. Throughout the incidence the effort to untie him from the statue proofed to receive stunning opposition from the human right activists. According to their ring leader Odhiambo, Dedan was on the track to demand for his justice.
“This should not be treated as isolated case there are many families who’re suffering but their forefather fought for this country. We’ve Tom Mboya Ochieng Oneko among others. The government should not only treat one family” he complained. Despite being personal concern the crowd cheered and happily support his stand.
Although, there was a speculation that the incidence could have been organised prior to the occurrence dedan step grandmother refute the allegation. “Dedan being here is not a big deal, is like a grandson visit to his grandmother place” she clarified. Hypothetically, the matter continued to raise havoc among the gathered crowd, who were trying to get the insight of the story.
          Brother sentiment
His brother gave out the true insight of the story by trying to reflect back on the history. “I can’t do anything for now. He resorts to do this in order to protect the interest of my grandfather. All this things are being caused by his frustration. No jobs for our family, in fact his mother is right now sick ling in the hospital” he said.
As a reminder early this year the British government released some funds to assist Mau Mau veterans.  According to the family, they were not compensated.

However, the only money or compensation from the government was from former president Kibaki who built for them a house.
“We’ve never get any money from the government. I don’t know how they disbursed the money that British government gave” he added.
“Am pledging the government to employe us so that we can cater for our needs” he urges. It was emotional moment for the entire family to get to this direction. Precisely, the police urged the crowd to be security conscious and be their neighbour watchdog.
